Northern United Hockey Club Ball 2025

Thank You On Saturday 5 July, we took a break from the turf and came together at Amador for the Northern United Hockey Club Ball.

It was a great chance to catch up away from the sidelines, connect with people from across all our teams, and enjoy a relaxed evening with good food, drinks, and company.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event, whether you were a long-time club member, a newer face, or a partner or friend. It was great to see such a mix of people in the same room.

A special thanks to:

• Amador for hosting us

• Everyone involved in organising and making the night happen

• Those who helped spread the word and encouraged their teams to come along

If you’ve got photos from the night, feel free to send them through to info@northernunited.co.nz or share them on our socials.

Thank You, Tawa Harcourts – Proud Sponsors of Our Premier 1 Men’s Polos!

We’re thrilled to give a massive shout-out and heartfelt thanks to Tawa Harcourts for their generous sponsorship of brand-new polos for our Premier 1 Men’s team.

These new shirts have already made a big impression—helping the squad look sharp off the turf while proudly representing Northern United around the region. Whether they’re warming up, attending events, or showing up to support our other teams, the polos have brought a real sense of pride and unity to the side. Support like this from local businesses makes a huge difference to our club.

We’re incredibly grateful to have the backing of a company that not only understands the value of team spirit, but also plays an active role in the local community. If you’re buying or selling in the area, or just after some solid advice, be sure to check out the team at Tawa Harcourts—they’ve got you covered.

Thank you again, Tawa Harcourts! Your support helps our club continue to grow, thrive!.

A Big Thank You to Pelorus Trust

We’re thrilled to share some great news: the Pelorus Trust has generously funded the purchase of brand-new training and match balls for Northern United’s six senior teams. With their support, our club was able to order high-quality balls through Just Hockey, meaning our players will hit the field with fresh gear all season long.

Having reliable equipment makes a big difference – it keeps trainings sharp, games running smoothly, and helps everyone perform at their best. It's a practical boost that goes a long way for our teams and coaches.

We’re really grateful to Pelorus Trust for backing community sport and supporting what we’re building here at Northern United. Big thanks as well to Just Hockey for making the process easy.

NUHC Club Day 2025 – Thanks for Celebrating With Us!

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to the National Hockey Stadium over the weekend of 17–18 May to be part of NUHC Club Day 2025 – what a brilliant turnout and an even better atmosphere!

It was fantastic to see our whole club in action, from juniors bursting with energy to our senior teams giving it their all on the turf. Despite the classic Wellington chill, the sideline support was strong and the Northern United spirit was everywhere you looked.

Some of our favourite moments from the weekend:

  • Juniors proudly tieing the yellow and black ribbons from their lolly packs onto their stick bags as badges of club pride (the cuteness!).

  • Senior teams enjoying post-match nibbles and a well-earned cold one (or warm drink on Sunday), making time to connect across teams and grades.

  • Passionate hockey, close games, and loads of club colour on display – it was great to see so many of our teams back-to-back throughout the weekend.

  • A strong showing of whānau, supporters, and life members cheering from the stands – thank you for your ongoing support.

A special shoutout to everyone who helped coordinate the day and ensure it ran smoothly – from organising treats to managing gear and everything in between.

Got any great snaps from the weekend? We’d love to see them – tag us on Instagram or send them through us.

Thanks for making Club Day such a success – bring on the rest of the season!
